≡ The Dansko Brand Clogs
The word Dansko, genuinely, means Danish Shoe. The primary design was a completely unique Danish block, which founders Peter Kjellerup and Many Cabot found in a tiny Danish shop in the latter 1980’s. Being pro pony folks, they adored the shoes and thought they’d be good for wearing in the barns. They brought them home and tried them out for one or two years, finding out they were durable, snug, and good-looking, too. After a bit, they were such followers they never wore any other kind of shoes- so they acquired exclusive rights to the products and formed Dansko, Inc. In 1991. Today, the word has spread around the country about the snug, wonderful looking shoes that the company makes, and they are available in 3500 different locations.
