What Should I Do To Get Six Pack Abs?
To get those six pack abs you want, exercise, weight loss and ab work are what you will need to focus on. You can not have one without the other. As any fitness trainer will tell you, you can do lots of work on your abs but without fat loss they will never be visible.
To start take a look at your diet. Remove as much as possible any fatty, processed foods that may be in your current diet. These are mostly empty caloried and offer little your body really needs. Put in fuel that your body can use. Whole foods and natural foods are best for the body. The better quality the fuel the better the performance.
An increased metabolism is necessary to lose weight. Keep the fires burning by eating smaller meals but more of them. Your total calories per day should be spread out over five to six meals. This will decrease then eliminate any cravings, or necessity for snacking. With the amount of small meals you’ll be eating, you will not get so hungry over the course of a day.
Doing aerobic exercise is a necessity. It need not be boring for you. If you are the type that is bored to tears on the treadmill or elliptical try something new, or just mix up what you may currently be doing. Hiking, rock climbing, join the local soccer team, as long as it keeps you interested and keeps up that heart rate.
Ab training is integral as well. You want them strong and well defined. The definition is for aesthetics and the strength for what ever else you do. Strong core muscles make for a better athlete overall. Whether you play tennis, golf, soccer or you swim, a strong core will make what you do more powerful and can add speed and agility.
To make ab work effective it will need to be done two to three times a week. These should be performed with correct form and you should take your time. 30 seconds of rest between sets is plenty. Doing them on an unstable surface will further engage the muscles.
Weight loss is most important to reveal your new six pack. But you will not be able to do that without doing the cardiovascular exercises and eating a healthy diet that will promote fat loss. Doing all of these things will get you the six pack abs you are after and you will also have the benefit of increased strength and energy overall.
